Draft to Visit Bucs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scheduled a visit with Carolina Panthers free agent linebacker Chris Draft. The 5-foot-11, 232-pound Draft is a middle linebacker. According to The Charlotte Observer, Draft is scheduled to visit One Buccaneer Place on Monday.

With Shelton Quarles’ future still in doubt and Napoleon Harris off the free agent market, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scheduled a visit with Carolina Panthers free agent linebacker Chris Draft at One Buccaneer Place on Monday, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Draft, 31, has recorded 532 career tackles, 14.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions since entering the NFL in 1999 with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 5-foot-11, 232-pound Draft played with Atlanta from 2000-04, and he spent the past two seasons with the Panthers.

Quarles, 35, is in the process of gathering information from doctors, who are evaluating his injury history and might recommend he retires. Quarles is expected to make a decision on his future in the NFL later this month.
