This was brought up in another forum (I'm not going to advertise the other forum) but it turned into more of a flame war and I figured a good discussion could start here on it.
The question at hand is which team do you think will be the first to 6 Superbowl championships? The main teams of the discussion were Dal, Pitt, and SF. Some other teams such as the Pats were brought into the discussion, so feel free to bring up any team you think has a realistic chance of making it to 6 first.
And if this should be moved to "Debates", please feel free to move it.
Maybe this will be used as a Great Debates question during the season, but for now the game is on break.
Any who. I like San Francisco, it seems they are putting all the pieces together and are a Franchise on the rise, while Pitt seems on the fall, and Dallas seems to be on par in my eyes...
Seahawks! Honestly though Id say SF since it seems to me both the others are going downhill I dont think any of them will win within the next 4 years or so though
With PIT being the only realistic possibility in the next 5 years. I don't think DAL has the long term pieces in place (although the D is decent and developing, and Romo could work out). I think SF's improvement is vastly overrated (the D is nothing special, I don't think A.Smith will ever be an elite QB, Gore has injury and contract issues, and we'll see if the Offense as a whole takes a step back after the loss of Norv Turner). PIT at least has Rothelisburger and a solid D (although it underachieved last year). FWP is a good RB, and although the coaching change might hurt them, they at least have the foundational pieces in place to make another run IMO. In fact, I'd go so far as to say, that NE has just about as much a chance at reaching 6 rings as DAL or SF in the next 5-7 years (and they're starting with 2 less)...
