Saints to open season against Colts

Monday, 2:45 p.m.

PHOENIX—The Saints will open the 2007 NFL season against the defending Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts in the RCA Dome on Sept. 6, a Thursday night prime-time telecast on NBC.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was expected to make the formal announcement at the league’s spring meetings here Monday afternoon.
“It will be like a Super Bowl,” Saints owner Tom Benson said Monday. “I think it’s a good indication of where our club is going.”

Should be a great game!

The matchup everyone wanted to see in the Super Bowl. A good real life game and a very intriguing fantasy game as well! ;-)

I saw this news earlier and thought to myself that it should be a fun game. At the time I didn't think about the fantasy implications but with 2-3 potential first rounders, and 4 more guys that'll likely go in the first four rounds its kinda a blockbuster. Certainly much better than our Dolphins/Steelers opening last season.

I was thinking about that too, and at the time that match up seemed like a battle of the big boys. and later it was looked back upon and shown that it was just a mediocre game...who says this want end up the same?

Should be a really good game, I do expect the Colts to beat them pretty handly though.

Bengals-Ravens first MNF game (followed by San Fran-Arizona as a doubleheader). Giants-Cowboys (like always) first Sunday night game
