Be a Part of a New Book About the Raider Nation
By Patrick Patterson
John Blaylock aka Inferno, a Raider fan from the Seattle area, is working on a book “By Raider fans about Raider fans” in concert with J. Montgomery titled The Passion Behind the Paint: A Look Inside the Raider Nation. This book offers you as a Raider fan your chance to get your version of the Raider Nation mythos in print.
Blaylock lays it all out right here:
“This project will be revolutionary and unique, not only because this will be an extensively researched, fact-based publication, but for the first time the fans will be able to tell part of the story!! As far as the Raider Nation goes, we do have a “face” that represents us. Every game on television you see the well-known “Superfans” dressed up in their Raider paint, costumes, skulls, spikes, and weapon of choice. Their story will be heard. But equally important are those fans from out of state (like me), in enemy territory, doing the same exact thing. We are in every city, and in every state. We are rich and poor. We are men, women, and children. We represent all religions or no religion at all. We are all races, but most importantly, we are one family! Whether we put on our war paint or just throw on our favorite Raider jersey, we are united for the same cause…representing OUR team.”
