I never use them. I never saw the point. My thought is that if the conversation was worth having I'd remember it anyway.

I watch a number of threads that I don't respond to so I get a lot of the Topic Reply Notifications to read through and not necessarily put in my opinion. This keeps me up on things since, with my job, I'm in and out of the office most days. Very inconsistent.

for the fact that it would fill up my email. i think i get email notification if some uses the PM.

I use the notifications as my only means of navigation around the cafe. I only use the cafe index maybe 3-5 times a day when I am wanting to see if a forum has something new in it. Otherwise, I visit the cafe when an e-mail arrives in my inbox so I am not constantly checking to see if there is anything new. It works like a charm.

Oh yeah, on average I have about 20 e-mails in the morning, I probably get a couple hundred each day if I am on a lot, but I use G-mail for my cafe stuff, so that's not a problem.

I usually have 21-25 in my inbox. One day I had 98 Not sure how that happened.
