SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD - A 91-year-old man sparked a rescue operation when he slipped mending his roof and got stuck fast in tar "like a beetle on its back," police said on Tuesday.
Passers-by were so shocked to see the elderly handyman working on the roof they first thought he was planning to commit suicide, according to police.
"In fact he was just re-coating the roof. But then he slipped," said a spokesman for police.
"When we got there, he was like a beetle on its back, with his arms and legs sprawled out and completely glued to the roof," he added. "Due to his age, he couldn't free himself from his unfortunate situation."
Local firemen carefully detached the man using ropes and ladders. He was unharmed, but had sticky clothes, police said.

I have quite a hunch that this is Germany. I don't know exactly why, but it seems to scream out Germany for some odd reason. So I am going with the same thing that got me through high school and first semester of college with a 4.0...
After reading it again, I think its the "Beetle on its back saying that is throwing me towards Germany. Probably just cause it sounds like they are using it as more of a common saying and I have never heard it. Anyway, I don't know.
I'm trying to figure out who puts tar on the roof. Mobile home was all I can think of. Don't think Germany has those so I will go with a Mobile Home in Florida.
