It WAS the last season... then they signed Zach to a big new contract... several more years...

He's supposed to be one of the highest paid TV actors now or something. An interesting rumor that I've heard though, is that NBC hasn't picked up additional years on the show yet, so rumors go that Scrubs could end up on another network if NBC doesn't do something about it.

well it was a 1 year 350K per episode deal... no NBC hasn't picked it up but ABC did publicly say that they would be interested in picking it up if NBC didn't and another station (which I cannot remember at this time) said they would also be interested... I'm sure NBC will give it at least one more season personally
