NOTE: If you don't know one or the other of the canidates, a short description is below to help you decide. I highly recommend that you also see the Wikipedia biography on each character, to help you make the best decision possible. If you are still at a loss, Google is one click away. YouTube is also a handy source of character videos...

Name: Maximus Decimus Meridius
Occupation: Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, Gladiator
TV Show or Movie: Gladiator

Description: Maximus was one of the Roman Elite – a prominent figure in the Roman Army, friend of the Emperor, loved by those who knew him. His courage and strength were put to the test when he was cast out by the Emperor’s son, nearly slain and forced into a life of bondage as a gladiator. Rising quickly through the ranks he made his way from the backwater parts of the rural Roman Empire all the way to a prominent role as “The Spaniard” in the great Roman Coliseum itself. There he gained fame and ultimately met his persecutor face to face on the sandy floor, where he avenged the murder of his wife and son by killing the Emperor.

Check out his bio in Wikipedia for more info.

Name: Zorro
Occupation: Defender of the Downtrodden
TV Show or Movie: Zorro

Description: Zorro is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega, a nobleman and master swordsman living in Spanish and Mexican-era California. He defends the people of the land against tyrannical governors and other villains, and is not only much too cunning and fox-like for the bumbling authorities to be caught, but delights in publicly humiliating those same foes.

Absolutely not. You need moxie to defeat Jack Bauer, and Zorro pisses concentrated moxie.

maximus is such a beast. Gladiator is also one of my favorite movies of all time though, so I'm a little biased, but Maximus in a landslide.
