Learning From Experience?

* Michael Bennett began full-speed cutting drills Thursday and finished his practice showing no ill effects. He is still targeting Nov. 2 vs. Green Bay for his return. It will be interesting to see how the Vikings' offensive gameplan will change when and if he returns to the lineup.
* As a follow-up to that, a tight VU source has said that, even if Bennett is 100 percent, he won't be the featured back this season. It will be a time share and, if Moe Williams shows no signs of wearing down, Bennett won't get the majority of the carries. We're told that, while Tice wants to save Williams and give Onterrio Smith every chance to earn a larger role, until something drastic changes, Moe will continue to shoulder most of the load.
I read another article as well regarding this, and Bennett's foot is showing no signs of not healing well. It looks like we will see him later in the year. Take note of Moe shouldering most of the load. Interesting.
The better and QUICKER overall back is bennett. Hope Tice recognizes this when he returns...
QB (1) - Plummer, Leftwich
RB (2) - Alexander, Dunn, Larry Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Stephen Davis
WR (3) - Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Drew Bennett, Rod Smith, Jason Witten
K - Peterson
D - Carolina
(10 team league, pick #4)
I certainately hope Bennett is involved in the pass game at least - be nice to get the extra FF points and perhaps trade bait. It's too bad that Moe Williams may very well continue to get most of the carries - Bennett will continue to be sidelined once the team hits the 10 yard line.

My question is if Moe will still be used heavily when Bennett comes back, why will he be splitting carries this week with Smith like all of the sites say? I mean if he is going to be splitting with Bennett he should be THE man right now then. I don't buy it. I still say its mainly Bennett's job.

If you own Bennet don't read too much into this. Remember Tice saying Smith would get 100 yards and then giving him 5 carries to do it with. I think Tice likes to mislead, thinking his opponents are dumb enough to beleive him.
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

I think Tice just says things sometimes w/out really thinking about them. He will see that Bennett is a FAR better back, and he will get most of the carries when he returns to 100%.
i just hope the better choice is clear between the 2 backs...in retrospect, i made possibly the worst trade of the year, trading garner for peerless price, thinking that MN's schedule is easy for the rest of the year, and my RB slot will be effectively filled with A. Green and "the MN back"... bah, bad DECISION!
