I'm surprised that noone is upset with the fact that this was obviously leaked by Basinger and/or her lawyers. That's just wrong.

DING DING DING we have a winner! What makes this whole thing so bad isn't the fact that he had a one-sided argument with his daughter, but the fact that his P.O.S ex-wife made it public...yet again. Always trying to drag him through the mud publicly to gain an advantage in the custody battle. It's sickening. Everyone has had spats with their parental units, and I have heard worse than this from much more normal families. Things get heated, and bad things get said at times. It's not right, and I'm not defending him. But what the wife did was just intensify the matter tenfold.
