NOTE: If you don't know one or the other of the canidates, a short description is below to help you decide. I highly recommend that you also see the Wikipedia biography on each character, to help you make the best decision possible. If you are still at a loss, Google is one click away. YouTube is also a handy source of character videos...

Name: Achilles
Occupation: Hero, leader of the Myrmidons
TV Show or Movie: Troy

Description: Achilles was the greatest of the Greek Heroes, vitally necessary for the battle against the powerful Trojans. Once Achilles was talked into joining the invasion force the rest of the Greeks felt assured of eventual victory. Achilles' exploits include the deaths of Boagrius and Hector, the mighty Hero of the Trojans.

VS.

Name: Rooster Cogburn
Occupation: US Marshall
TV Show or Movie: True Grit, Rooster Cogburn

Description: Cogburn is described as a "fearless, one-eyed U.S. marshal who never knew a dry day in his life." In the first film, Cogburn helps Mattie Ross to track down Tom Cheney, the man who killed Ross's father. In the sequel, he teams up with Eula Goodnight and Wolf while on the trail of a desperado, Hawk, who has stolen a shipment of nitroglycerin from the U.S. Army.

Keep in mind that Achilles can't be killed without a shot in the heel. I may have thought that movie was downright awful, but Achilles still gets my vote.

That actually raises a problem that I didn't think of - if Achilles has mystical magical protection powers, he's probably not eligible for this contest anyway.

Never even thought of that.

True. If he were shot in the head without a helmet, with a .44 hollow point, would he die? If no, then he doesn't count. :-B
