Did you try what I posted in the other thread?

Oh and why not the graphics general talk thread?

Ideal place for stuff like this. ;-)

In case you forgot, a white border with a drop shadow and then lower the Fill on that layer a bit maybe.

Then erase the parts behind their heads.

thats not what it looks like to me.

heres what i think:

first off its 2 layers...

bottom layer:
about a 5 pixel white stroke overlayed, white stroke outside around 2 pixels...lower the opacity on the stroke to about 50 percent. drop shadow.

top layer:
1 pixel white stroke overlayed, 2 pixel white stroke outside with opacity lowered to 50 percent.

erase parts behind the heads.

Oh, and the reason its that color is because it has an adjustment layer on top of the whole sig, so if the color is what you can't get right, that is the deal. ;-D

How's that look? :-?

Here is what I did. ;-D

Made a selection with the marquee tool.

Stroke> White > 3px

Duplicate this layer once.

Add a drop shadow to both layers.

Set top layer to overlay, leave bottom layer at normal.

Now just change the Fill (not opacity, but the box below it that says fill) on both layers til it looks right. Mine were:

Top layer: 100%
Bottom Layer: 20%

Only thing that I don't like is I should have feathere'd it just a tad bit.

I don't think he wanted it done to that sig, especially since it isn't his. :-?

you made that way harder than it had to be. and you would need to do what you suggested twice considering the outside edge of the sig is also overlayed not stroked.

I was trying to make it basic to understand. It took me like 2 minutes to do it and that was with the experimenting. :-b
