Are we supposed to do some cutting of players when we submit our contracts?

You can, but you don't have to.

As to Year 2, I think there will be a date set after the season by which time you will have to be under the cap (much like the NFL). Unfortunately right now we have plenty of Year 1 stuff still to hash out. !+)

WAIVERS

All players are on waivers from the beginning of the first game of the week through 5 P.M. Eastern the next Wednesday. Additionally, any dropped player is on waivers for 48 Hours from the time he was dropped.

To claim a player on waivers PM a commissioner, notifying him that you intend to place a claim, and then post a thread in the league forum with the contract that you intend to offer that player.
Highest bidder wins the player. A Commissioner will add the player to the winning bidder’s roster.

Bidding ends 24 Hours after the last bid placed, or at 11:59 P.M. Eastern that Friday, whichever comes first.

Contract tiebreakers are (in this order):
1.) Total Contract Amount
2.) Average Yearly Salary

The league minimum contract is 1 Year/$200,000.

FREE AGENTS

Any player that clears waivers is considered a Free Agent and may be signed to a One Year Minimum Contract by any team with cap/roster space.

Free Agents are awarded on a First-Come First-Served Basis.

To claim a Free Agent PM a Commissioner with the name of the player you wish to claim, and then post that player in the Free Agents thread in the League Forum. A commissioner will then add the player to that team’s roster.

IN-SEASON CUTS

Teams wishing to cut a player during the season must PM a Commissioner with the player to be cut’s name and contract information, as well as posting this information in the 2007 Cuts thread in the League Forum.

A Commissioner will calculate the Salary Cap Ramifications of the cut and ask the owner to APPROVE or DENY the cut.

If the owner approves the cut the player will then be removed from that team’s roster by the Commissioner.

Sounds fine to me. Is this how waivers are going to work starting this week?

Sounds awesome to me! ;-D

Sorry I haven't been around much everyone. It's been crazy busy at work and they're cracking down on people sneaking online so I haven't been able to do anything there. Then my computer crashed in the middle of the week. I got it back today. It's just been an insane couple of weeks. !+)

1.) No IR slot(s). :-/

2.) Any player on your roster gets paid as long as he's on it.

Since we use IDPs and the risk of injuries are kinda high, maybe we should provide for at least 1 IR slot.

Maybe for Year 2, but I don't think that's sumthin' we should add mid-season.

(I like the idea though). ;-D

I think there's an issue with the INT return rule b/c Chris Kelsay didn't get credit for the touchdown he scored when he picked off Tony Romo in the endzone. It won't make a difference (I would lose by 2 as opposed to 8), but in case someone intercepts someone in their own endzone again (what didn't happen in that game?)... :-B
