Here is my first tutorial, but it should be pretty easy to follow.

I will teach you how to make this sig:

The purpose of it is to basically show you the very basics of using stock photos for backgrounds and lighting and using adjustment layers in your sigs.

I only used the brush tool twice and that was with a soft round brush both times, so that's why I made this tut. I think it can vastly help some of the newer sig makers here.

pretty nice tut dude. when you add the three renders over the top of the CD4s you listed the bottom render twice...i believe one of them is supposed to be top. ill work on getting that thread made today for the tuts, or at least get it stickied....and get a link to this in there.

Hmmmm..... a tutorial for a tutorial huh.

It's actually really basic.

Start out with a canvas about 200 pixels wider than your sig (personal preference really) do whatever you might want for your background, etc. Text is basic (I added a drop shadow to all of my text to make it easier to read).

As for getting the steps in there, I just had my sig opened in another window and started out with just the bottom layer showing, took a screen capture, pasted it into the tutorial file, cut it so that it just showed the part I wanted, and continue a LOT.

But yeah, its all text and screen captures.
