My last sig, you guys told me to work on my background, so I got a couple of pics of fireworks and kept playing with them until I got this background. I think it turned out pretty sweet.

That is much better BG. It is overdone like SPC said, but you are getting there and good to see you try a sig without just a brushed on bg.
Try adding a picture with some decent contrast like this one. Set it to Linear Light or Linear Dodge and Gaussian Blur it a lot and see what that does. Play around with it and see if it looks good above or below the render, but some lighting done like that will help out your sig a LOT.
