Azrael has been strung up by a group of New Las Vegas citizens. However like an old tv episode of Batman, left him hanging... but not dead. A man, who was on a smoke break at a most inopportune time, rushed back in the nick of time to rescue the man he was protecting. He cut the noose and said "No worries buddy, I got your back , Now let's get outta here..."

Why would the bodyguard protect Azrael? The way he played day 1, I would think that the bodyguard would be smart enough to see that he could be guilty, and therefore not protect him. Right?
