i like the pic selection and placement....and the blur effect works nicely along with the pic. a bit too much color in the BG....the right side is a bit overpowering and takes away from the focal point of the main picture. not too shabby though besides what you mentioned with the border and text.

Very busy, is a understatement. I think you could tinker with it, and make it much better.

It's ok, but it's hard to read the text since it blends in with the background.
