The News
Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh missed the first day of voluntary workouts, though coach Marvin Lewis was aware he'd be absent. "That's his business," Lewis told the team's official web site. "I'm not worried about their reasons. We'll have somebody else in those spots. I expect them to be here at some point." Teammate Chad Johnson said that Housh was "taking care of things at home," adding that T.J. would be in attendance for the Bengals' mandatory minicamp starting June 1. Antonio Chatman ran with the first team in Housh's place.
Our View
Maybe Housh is filming a commercial where he punches that dork who can't pronounce his name right in the throat. It's May, so we're not overly worried about his absence. If he skips the mandatory sessions in June, then we'll start getting concerned.
