SAN ANTONIO -- In an interview with KSAT 12 News on Thursday, a 17-year-old boy admitted that he repeatedly bit his 5-week-old baby girl.
Anthony Miranda told KSAT 12 News that the incident happened at his daughter's great-grandmother's house three weeks ago.
Miranda said he and his baby, Salyne, were in a bedroom, where he bit her upper back repeatedly.
"I admit what I did was wrong," he said. "I never should have taken it out on a baby."
Salyne was transported to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, where she was treated for injuries in six different areas of her back, a police affidavit stated.
Miranda told police and KSAT 12 News that he bit his child because he was angry and frustrated with the baby's 15-year-old mother. He also blames physical and mental problems.
"I take a lot of medication, insulins," he said.
Miranda has been charged with serious bodily injury to a child.
Salyne is in foster care, but Miranda said he plans on fighting for custody of her.
"Of course, with all my heart," he said. "That's my first child."

He shouldn't even be allowed to go to court for custody because he should be in prison. For a long, looooong time. If for some strange reason he gets off of that, then surely he would have to plead insanity of something and if he does that, then I hope he never gets the child as well.

Some glaring red flags in these statements right here. The question I want to know is WHERE ARE THESE KIDS' PARENTS???? I mean seriously, he admits to being on medication for physical and MENTAL problems. Shouldn't this have rasied a red flag with someone? His parents?
He should have been monitored from the getgo so this sorta of circumstance didn't happen.
