Heisman picks.

Let's see them ladies.

1. John David Booty - I actually prefer Sanchez but he will be on the best team and will have good numbers so he should be the favorite.

2. Mike Hart - He's been a contender for some time now, and this could be the year Michigan pushes for the title, hard to discount him.

3. Pat White/Steve Slaton - I don't think either will win, they will split votes but they could easily be undefeated playing in their conference.

4. Darren McFadden - Best player in CF, Arkansas won't be a contender though.

5. Jonathon Stewart - I am jocking Stewart for the 2nd consecutive year, Oregon should be tough and could score a big upset against UM or USC.

6. Brian Brohm - Great QB, I don't see Louisville running the table though.

7. Erik Ainge - He is being underrated and Tennessee is solid.

8. Ray Rice - Great back on a solid team.

Honorable mentions:
- Colt McCoy (I don't care for him but Texas will be good and ESPN fellates him)
- Desean Jackson (Superstar WR, but Cal won't contend)
- Henne/Manningham (Great players, Hart is the engine of the team though)
- PJ Hill (Even though I think John Clay will split carries)

Sleepers:
Andre Woodson - My boy and the most underrated player in the NCAA
Matt Flynn - LSU will be strong and he is very solid

my Heisman candidates are

1)Steve Slaton, RB, WVU
2)Pat White, QB, WVU

I'm from WV and a huge WVU fan, so I wont list anyone else after my top 2, lol

Brohm
White
Slaton
Booty
Jackson

And sleeper pick-Colt Brennan (If he could even be considered a sleeper) The guy is going to probably break a ton of passing records, post staggering numbers yet again, and if he is able to lead Hawaii to a respectable record I think he deserves it without a doubt.

For my winner I'll say Booty, just because I think USC ends up in the national championship game and because he will put up good numbers while doing it. It's hard to go against any QB who does that for his team.

For my other finalists: (Assuming they bring 5)

Darren McFadden
Steve Slaton
Mike Hart
Brian Brohm

Hate to put so many RB's on the list, but it's a great year for running backs and I think they will be rewarded come voting time.

I could care less about the Heismann anymore. Its not even about the best player, its about who can garner the most press coverage. Anyway, considering I've been commenting about him in another post, you all know Brennan is going to be a "front runner". So far, the media loves him.
