He's a 3rd back for a fantasy team, but he'll get a lot of work. I think he's in the same boat as a guy like Jamal Lewis who will probably be drafted a lot higher around the 3rd round.
I think Ahman Green is the kind of guy who could post some great games against bad defenses. Could be this year's chester taylor also which is great for a guy that could be had in some drafts in the 5th/6th.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks!

Ahman looks like he is set up to be another great value pick this year.

This is my thinking as well. The Houston offensive line wasn't very good last year, and certainly won't leap to an elite level this year, but I expect it will improve, and Kubiak is going to try to use the run game to control the clock and take pressure off of Schaub and the defense. I don't know if it will work or not, but when Green is being drafted in the same tier as a bunch of RBBC guys, it's worth the risk.

I think he is great as a #3 RB/flex player, and could do well in a platoon with other 2nd and 3rd tier RBs.

He's a steal later on in drafts. He'll be one of the best value picks this year, and since he's not on the pack anymore I can pick him up in our big money draft in later rounds. I don't think a lot of people are that high on him, and hopefully it stays that way.

Yeah, value is what A.Green offers you. He'll get plenty of work and put up decent stats, and while I wouldn't want to rely on him as a RB2, I definately think he's an above average RB3 with potential to put up RB2 numbers. Great value pick in rounds 4-6...

Unless it's a PPR league I don't know that Green will do much. He probably won't get the bulk of goal line carries and yards aren't going to be too easy to come by in Houston. With PPR Green can earn a spot as a #3 and solid back-up.

I got a great value RB3 out of Green last year, and I imagine this year will be no different.

i like him alot in a PPR league, regular leagues, not so much, but if he can stay healthy he should make a nice RB3

If Ron Dayne can have success behind that Houston line, I don't see why Ahman Green can't.

I was satisfied with his production last season as my RB4, and I will take him as early as the 6th this season.
