I guess a "good" workout plan depends on what your immediate goals are.

What are you wanting to accomplish? I know this question will get laughed at (probably) but it's a legitimate question. Any trainer will ask virtually the same thing.

Yeah running is too hard on my knees too. I ride my bike a lot and lift a little but I have no real routine thats the hard part is getting into a routine and sticking too it.
