Well said. That's just pathetic. I always see people that are just fine walking from the parking lot to the Grocery Store, only to jump on one of those things to do their shopping. Pathetic :-t

I've been asked to get off those electric carts when I tried to use them. Told me some garbage that those things are only for handicapped people... :-[
The cake is a lie.

If you're just staying on the main part of the Strip, that is indeed super lazy. I could see if you were traveling from the end of the Strip where the Luxor is to the other end where the Stratosphere is, or going into downtown - that's actually quite a distance to walk.

Get a motorcycle or a real scooter of some sort at least. That just looks lame.

It's like piling on layer after layer of gluttony and laziness. Counterproductive. You're fat so you have to use a scooter, or you're fat because you use a scooter?

It's like those couches with built in coolers or those people who will drive around a parking lot for days trying to find a spot close to the door. Or the idiots who will wait for an elevator when they are perfectly capable of using the stairs right next to that elevator.

I'm going to defend the scooter-users a bit. I go to Las Vegas twice a year and have walked the strip many times. Last summer it was 118 degrees and if someone wants to ride a scooter and have a cold one more power to them. I went through 2 16 ounce bottles of water just going from Aladdin to MGM.

I would personally not use one because I like the exercise I get walking (it cancels out some of the garbage I eat out there) but as long as they're not taking the scooter away from a truly handicapped person I have no problem with it.

walking the entire strip is not that tough AT ALL! plus, you'll miss a lot of people slapping cards together with pretty ladies and phone numbers on them. they even give you these pictures and phone numbers... unfortunately the girls on the cards like money and you need to pay them for some reason... I just thought they were lonely, but no... I mean come on, you have to be pretty lonely to have guys handing out your pic and number on the street right? :-b
