Trading Draft Picks-commish input

In re-draft leagues there is very little if any draft movement. I also wouldn't suggest being able to trade future draft picks in a re-draft league. For a dynasty or keeper it is fine but not re-draft. I see no issue in allowing it but it will probably rarely be used.

Exactly. Trading picks is not utilized much in redraft leagues, that is more for dynasty/keeper leagues, but it can be done.

I dont see the point of trading draft picks if you redraft every year! Using draft picks in trades are nice to help you build for the following year. but if your redrafting every year it is pointless. also you need to have the same group of guys returning each year or it becomes a real problem. I would stay away from it if I were you.

I believe that you are misunderstanding here. I think that he is talking about trading picks in a current draft. Like swapping picks in 2 consecutive rounds. I have done it in offline drafts.

That's right, I'm talking about trading picks within the same draft. Think about it, which other picks would be required for you to part with your first round pick?

In a re-draft league, it definitely works best if you have the same owners or largely the same returning year after year.

We allow it in our re-draft league, and have had position for position trades as well as player for position trades during the season when subsequent draft year positions are traded.

I like it, and it adds another element to trading.
