Yahoo's New Default Scoring System

Postby titans_cafe » Thu Jun 07, 2007 8:28 am

Old: 6 points for ALL TDs
1 point per 50 yds throwing
1 point per 20 yds rushing/receiving

New: 4 points for thrown TDs, 6 points for all other
1 point per 25 yds throwing
1 point per 10 yds rushing/receiving

Just curious how the cafe views this change. Personally, I like it as it makes the game a little more realistic.

Should have done this years ago :-°

I always changed my leagues to that or maybe 20 yards passing per point

Finally!

I hate those TD-based scoring systems. I got burned last year in a Yahoo league where I had Tiki Barber as my mains back. I got plenty of 4-5 points games.

The game will be way more realistic! ;D

just curious if other PPR leagues will be making these changes? Not sure what were gonna do in our league yet

doubling the yardage points could lead to some 250 point weeks 8-o

So completely overdue. With that TD-heavy format, I actually won quite a few Yahoo! leagues my first couple of years just by dumb luck. I didn't even know what I was doing but I would get lucky and draft the breakout guys that would score the most touchdowns. :t

i also like how they have made it so you can use your previous years set up automatically without having to change everything yourself. ;D and yeah it's about time the woke up and went to a performance style scoring set up.

That is the greatest thing ever. I hated having to set the same things every year, it always seemed like I was getting the defensive scoring wrong. Now I can just set it up the same every year without all the hastle! ;D

;D

I love it. I got burned last year in a Cafe League with the old default settings. I was so used to the Sportsline/ESPN format. This format is so much more enjoyable, minimizing the effect of those darn touchdown vultures. :-#
