What's up with those jacked up FSU and Miami numbers?

The recruiting upgrades look really cool, particularly the prospect search, actually being able to see your school's strengths/weaknesses, and the whole "promise" system.

Lots of the rankings were a bit puzzling to me.

And yeah, I'm liking the promise system a lot.

I'll probably rent it at some point, just to tide me over until Madden comes out.

I have the game, and highly recommend it. It is much smoother (specifically, on the 360) and I'm especially a fan of the revamped dynasty mode, which is much deeper than ever before.

I got the game on its release day. I've been playing it pretty much non-stop since then.

The gameplay is great, definitely an upgrade over last year (allthough I dont think it was particularly weak last year). The running in particular looks much more realistic. And there's finally GANG TACKLING!!! (which looks awesome)

Dynasty mode is a blast, the new recruiting engine is really fun and pretty in depth, without feeling overwhelming. But my favorite addition is probably the EA Sports Highlights feature. Basically, for every game you play, a replay is saved for every single play. So after you are done you can look through every play, and save up to 5 of them from each game. Your saved replays will also play in the background of the menu. Very cool. Campus Legend is fun also, although I still find myself losing interest in that after a while. Playing as a high school kid trying to get interest from scouts is a neat idea though.

Now, the game isn't perfect. My major gripes would be that depth charts handle TERRIBLY on the 360 (they are god awful slow, and the subs are listed in reverse order of overall score. I have no idea why, I can't believe that got past EA's "quality control.") There are also an extreme amount of interceptions in the game. I've moved down the sliders, but I'm going to have to do it some more. There's nothing worse than getting picked off by a leaping DT 15 yards down the field, and I feel like it makes playing defense a little too easy sometimes.

Overall though, it's a good game, and definitely worth a purchase. It gives me some hope for Madden 08 as well.
