The Texans have made an offer to Keenan McCardell, but the veteran wide receiver hasn't signed on yet. "We're doing what we can do, and I know there's probably some football teams out there that can do a little more," Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle. "He's got options. I'm not sure if we're option one or number three, but we'll see. We'd love to have him, and he knows that."

Our View
The Texans are woefully thin at wide receiver behind Andre Johnson, so even a washed-up McCardell would be an upgrade. Kubiak has vowed to bring in at least one new receiver before training camp, and McCardell might be the best of the sorry lot of available free agents.
