Nope, in my work league that I won, I picked up the San Diego Defense after their opening week shutout on the road of the Raiders. SD's defense was undrafted. They were my primary defense for the year. 61 sacks, 28 turnovers and 3 tds was great value for a free agent. I've been burned in the past by drafting defenses too high and having them collapse. (Buffalo 2005 I think). Now I just draft them late and look for someone to emerge early in the season or play waiver wire match ups starting a few weeks out.
Luckily for me I had Bulger and SJax in the week 16 Super Bowl and I won in a blowout!
nah. dude had gore, addai, rivers, and some jerks at wr that came from nowhere for the playoffs. i think he had a different defense every week. like tennessee and denver towards the end.

yet another reason why i NEVER draft defenses... I always am top 5 in defense points in my league by playing the waivers and matchups...
