Anyone use Home Field Advantage?

I am in a keeper league and am thinking about incorporating home field advantage somehow.

Do you guys use Home Field Advantage?

If yes, how so?

good idea or bad idea?

My idea was to create a FLEX position (RB, WR, or TE) and the home team decides which position to fill that flex spot, and the away team will have to fill it with the same position used by the home team.

Keep in mind it would only be fair if you played a 12 or 14 game season. In a normal 13-game season, half the teams will have a disadvantage with only 6 "home" games, as opposed to the other half that'd have 7.

An easy way to incorporate "home field" advantage would be to just add 2 points for the home team...no extra roster requirements..

Our league does something similar to what you are suggesting. There are 6 different legal lineups/formations in our league. The home team gets to decide what formations both teams will use for the game that week. He has to announce this to the away team by Thursday. We have been doing this for 5 years and it has done the following 2 things for our league:

1. Gives home field advantage without adding any imaginary points.
2. Owners must draft a complete team (not just 2 stud backs).

I'm sure this method of play is not for everyone, but my league couldnt imagine playing any other way.
