State Police say the crash happened about 1 p.m. on a ramp from Route 50 onto Interstate 495 near Landover. Police say Arrington's 2007 Kawasaki traveled off the ramp and into some gravel, where he lost control and hit a guardrail.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He remains in stable condition at Prince George's Hospital Center. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Arrington does have a license, but not a motorcycle license. He was given a ticket for driving the bike without a proper license and for failure to control speed to avoid a collision.

This is a terrible break for Lavar, likely to cost him this season (methinks) and limit the money he can ask for in any future contracts should he recover enough to play again.
