07/02 Bills: Moorman locked up
Source: Fanball
The Bills made sure on Monday that punter Brian Moorman would finish his career in Buffalo, inking the veteran to a three-year deal worth $10 million. "It means a lot to me to have them say, 'Hey, we want you to finish your career here," Moorman told the Associated Press. "I can't say enough about how excited I am."

Now it all makes sense. Clearly, the Bills couldn't afford to keep franchise cornerback Nate Clements around, nor should they have been concerned with bringing veteran linebackers Takeo Spikes or London Fletcher-Baker back to Buffalo. Oh no, they had to lock up their punter long-term. Then again, given how frequently the Bills punt, this was probably a smart move.
