With 1 RB #4 is good, but in standard 2 RB leagues I like the 9-11 picks.

Im drafting in a first year 12 team keeper league with PPR. I have the 12th draft position. Here is who I landed through rounds 1-4:

1.12 Shaun Alexander
2.01 Rudi Johnson
3.12 Terrell Owens
4.01 Roy Williams

Im happy with my picks to this point. It seems like younger players seem to be more popular. Im not saying you will get players like the picks listed but this is a cafe league with a few known people from this forum.

In a standard redraft league you probably would not see any of those players drafted that late.

I'd say #1 is best. Why? Cause you get LT and go late in the 2nd. Same goes for 2,3 and 4, you go late in the 2nd. Going early in the 2nd means possibly reaching on guys, usually RBs cause you won't draft for a while. By going late it means a) someone great falls to you or b) you don't have to reach. Going back to back is also good cause no one can steal your guys. Thats why I like 12 (and usually 11). I find 5-10 to be all about equally bad.

1st of all all draft picks should be drawn out of a hat not "chosen" thats BS! but in my opinion the earlier the better.

What's the scoring system?

Chances are I would go with a later pick like 9 or 10 and grab 2 RBs, but scoring system may dictate a different strategy.

Actually this year, in all my mock drafts, position 1 has done very well.

My problem with drafting 8-9th is that I see a huge drop off at RB. LT, LJ, SJax, Gore, Parker, SA, Rudi, Addai, Westy, Henry, Maroney and then there's nobody. I think that taking someone like McGahee or Brown in that 8th hole coming back is a waste as they're not much better than a 3rd or 4th round guy. That puts me in a dilemma as I also hate taking the first or one of the first WRs off the board and I also rather wouldn't take Manning.
