i am considering fleaflicker.com and fantasysports.aol.com. both sites are very customizable and FREE.

i have never used fleaflicker.com, but it has been recommended to me by many cafe members and i am starting a new new dynasty league on fleaflicker.com this season.

i used fantasysports.aol.com for a league last season and enjoyed it very much, however, last season it was operated by fanball.com, but this year it is not. that worries me because their baseball manager kind of sucks this season.

im against yahoo simply because the way their system of W-L works. although, i havent used it in years. may be different now.

espn does not allow some stat categories that are important.

easports manager could be a possibility, i havent looked into it fully, but i think its kind of limited on stat categories if i remember correctly.

fanball.com would be my choice for a pay site. fully customizable. ive used it for years for other leagues. and fairly cheap. $60

myfantasyleague.com is a little more expensive that fanball.com. it is customizable, but simply doesnt look sexy enough for me.

sportsline.com. great site. too expensive.

yes, get as much interest as you can. have them reply to this thread. i will work on some basic rules if/when we get a few more interested parties.

i have done a little work on this.

scoring:
http://www.fleaflicker.com/showScoringR ... CsAAApZxd3

uses decimal scoring. ex: 1 point for every 20 Passing Yards = .05/yard, 1 point for every 2 Catches = .5/catch

roster and league rules:
http://www.fleaflicker.com/showLeagueRu ... ueId=11116

the only difference would be the transaction section. i'm thinking of doing something similar to a restricted free agency/waiver option instead.

example:
the Cleveland Bengals want to add free agent Marvin Harrison. the Kansas City Colts would then have 24 or 48 hours to claim Marvin Harrison before the Cleveland Bengals could add him to their roster. Kansas City Colts would have the option to claim him because he is a player from their 2 NFL teams. No other teams would have the option to claim him.

im going to open this league up so that anyone may join.

website:
http://www.fleaflicker.com/showLeague.do?leagueId=11116

check the message board before you join.

if you join, keep in mind the entry fee is $30 and a 50% year two deposit. $45 total to play.

things i'm still considering:

free agents:
- restricted free agency
- free for all
- traditional waiver system

i'm leaning toward the restricted free agency

selecting NFL franchises:
- simple "snake" drafting the NFL teams
- random drawing
- split the 32 teams into two categories by 2006 record and each owner must take one from each half. may take 2 from bottom half.
- split the 32 teams into two categories by 2006 power rankings and each owner must take one from each half. may take 2 from bottom half. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking)
- split the 32 teams into two categories by 2007 pre-season projected power rankings and each owner must take one from each half. may take 2 from bottom half. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerrank ... eason=2007)

i'm leaning toward anything except random drawing

total roster size:
- 26 (8 starters - 13 max offensive players, 8 starters - 13 max defensive players)
- 28 (8 starters - 14 max offensive players, 8 starters - 14 max defensive players)
- 30 (8 starters - 15 max offensive players, 8 starters - 15 max defensive players)
