BRIAN GRIESE??!?!?!

Postby DudeLaw » Sat Oct 18, 2003 4:27 pm

Guys, Listen to this report:

Oct 14 The rumors are starting to swirl in South Florida, and with good reason. Jay Fiedler comes off a season-low 147 passing yards and no touchdowns against Jacksonville's patchwork secondary. ''I'm totally confident in Jay and what we're doing,'' Wannstedt told the Miami Herald on Monday. "It's a collection of more than one individual, and collectively as a group, we have to get the thing solved. And we will."

Views: Wannstedt already coming to Fiedler's defense, you say? We were extremely disappointed in Fiedler last week. We had high hopes against the Jaguars, but he was awful. He'll get at least one more game to prove he can take this team to the playoffs, but his leash is short. By the way, Brian Griese is completely healthy.

What do you think guys? Will Griese eventually get the nod from Wannstedt? And do you think he is worth picking up if the bench space is available?

No. I doubt Griese will get the nod unless Fiedler is hurt.

I also doubt he will surplant Fiedler. Jay has ALWAYS gotten this sort of crap droped on him since he isn't Dan Marino, just as Griese did for not being Elway. As long as they continue to win, or lose without Jay throwing 4 picks in a game he will remain the starter.

They NEED to bench Fiedler for Griese, but it won't happen without an injury. Even though Fiedler wins games and has decent stats, the mistakes he does make are always at the most inopportune time. Griese would scare defenses more than Fiedler does also. Chambers would have killer stats with Griese in there.

I think the Dolphins O will flow better with Griese at the wheel. I don't know why, call it intuition. If this does happen, Chambers stats should increase greatly - a huge plus for me B-)

Hopefully Fiedler gets his arm RIPPED OFF!

Don't know why you would make a QB change when your team is 4 and 1

They will never start him unless Jay gets hurt. I don't forsee him starting no matter how bad Jay does.

Dumbo will not get benched. Well, he might get benched if he loses 5 straight, and it was clearly his fault. i.e. Do NOT pick up griese.

If the Phins lose this week due to Feidler's inability to pass downfield, I would pick up Greise. No one is dumb enough to watch their season go down the tubes because of poor QB play. Greise is a step up without being a threat to his Daveness.

I guess you were in a coma last year when Bulger was on fire, and Martz promtly brought in Warner to cool things off in the Rams offense.
