Oh that looks like fun.......and the article I read says the tanks are still leaking.

Looks like one heck of a mess to clean up too.

Fire was finally out by 10 that night, but the tank farm was a complete loss. This is our biggest money making branch so our bonuses will suck huge for a while. Not to mention lodging for displaced residents, lawsuits, etc. Sure, we're very well insured, but this was freaking huge. The initial take had a pressure valve that failed and when it blew up it went up about 200 yards in the air and fell nearly 200 yards from where it once stood. It's a 30,000 gallon tank. Imagine a semi flying through the air. Luckily the warehouse and the office were unharmed, along with all employees and residents. They were fortunate in that their tankfarm set up was prestine. If you noticed in the pictures, the plant is set up as an 'L'. The tankfarms are separated by soap tanks from the warehouse with the office on the far end of the warehouse, shielding it from the tankfarm. If we have something like this happen at our plant it would be a complete loss. The EPA has promised us some visits in the near future already....
