What do you think of these payouts? Would you play in a league setup like this?
10 players - $70 buy-in
H2H matchups - Keeper league - Fairly standard scoring
Payouts
------------------
Total pot $620 ($80 site fee to myfantasyleague.com)
Superbowl champ = $300 (48%)
Runner-up = $110 (18%)
3rd place = $60 (10%)
Regular season weekly high scorer = $5/wk x 14 = $90 (15%)
Regular season champ = $60 (10%)
------------------
In the past I've always set it up like... pay 55-60% to the champ, 20% to runner-up, 3rd gets their buy-in back, and the rest of the pot gets divided up to weekly high score winners.
But I like the 10% payout to the regular season champ. In the last 8 leagues I've played in in head-2-head formats, the regular season champ won the superbowl 3/8 times. A few of those times they DOMINATED the regular season (12-2, 13-1, etc) only to get "unlucky" in the playoff matchup.
