been awhile... fred is still looking the same. Basset Hound-like

awesome looking dog...basset's crack me up

my dog is part Beagle...worst dog ever...

Haha! I have almost no experience with beagles, I hear they are yappy though. Hard to get annoyed by a basset... they sleep about 19 or 20 hours a day The other 4-5 hours they are lounging...

On this particular day we were painting the kitchen, had all the doors and windows open in the middle of summer, so it was hot in there. Hence the mouth being open. His mouth is almost always closed. For some reason, I have a rare basset that almost never drools unless he just drank... (like met after he drinks )

Not as much as your daughter I am sure... but he likes to wake up at 3AM sometimes to potty and play outside... That's the only thing he does that annoys me. Even worse, he wants to play then. I used to run with him at 5AM on my off days. I no longer do this and I think he misses it.

Well, only 24 hours to go and I get my new puppy! Gonna be an 8 hour round trip drive, but well worth it! Here's a shot of him at 5 weeks old (he turns 8 weeks old tomorrow):



His name is Taiko, he's gonna be a little playmate (and future boyfriend!) to my 16 month old female:



I don't have any more recent shots of the little guy, and I don't own a digital camera, so it will prob be at leat a week before I go through my first roll of film and drive to the big city to get it developed!

On a completely unrelated topic...

I voted yesterday. A few local races had dudes running unopposed.
Swear to God... I almost wrote in 'moonhead' on all of them! Almost.

Well, new puppy has been home for about 10 days now and I finally have some pics developed. He is a little sweetheart, but does drive my 17 month old dog crazy at times!

Awesome, Stomper. The little puppy all tuckered out as only puppies get, and the puppy, going 1,000 miles an hour, as only puppies do. Looks like you have a good yard for them to rough house in. Keep the pics coming as the little fella grows up.
