(but then, I'm partial to Mals).

Yeh, she was a real sweetheart - just a big cuddly, teddy bear - she was a great ambassador for the breed, everyone who met her fell in love with her. She had the most gentle disposition and temperament.

This is my family's boxer Max. I think he's about two and a half. He was a Katrina refugee.
We also have a black lab named Coach. She's getting older (around 8 or 9) and has really bad arthritis in her hips, so I'm not totally sure how much longer she'll last.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion
She's lying next to me right now, as always. She's getting very old, very fast, and I'm becoming more and more sad. She's got arthitis pretty bad. She doesn't hunt anymore.
I got her 6 years ago. She was my parent's dog. My dad is a truck driver and my mother passed away so I gladly took her in and she immediately became a part of my household. She's very good with my 6-year old son. He loves her.
She would play fetch till her legs fell off, if you kept tossing the tennis ball, but minutes later she can barely move. I'm not looking forward to the inevitable decision.
I grew up with a 150 lb. rottweiler who died of cancer. Big dog, big bark, big wuss, great dog.
Ah jeez, now I'm really caught on the horns of a dilemma. I mentioned earlier in this thread about waiting to get puppies in a few months that are related to that special dog that just passed away (photo a couple posts above). Well, the breeder just sent me photo's of a litter he has right now that will be ready to go in a few weeks - they are related to one dog I really like, but the breeder is concerned that these dogs may turn out to be a little on the small side as the sire is not very big (he didn't send me a pic of him yet). Anyway, here's some pics of the pups that he has right now:
This is the mother
This is the great-grandfather - I love this dog, I used to own his brother but he died 4 years ago

Decisions, decisions!

Those are some adorable balls of fur stomper. Your decision ultimately just depends on how important the smaller stature is to you. You'll end up loving whatever dog you get, so the situation you get him in will be irrelevant once he licks his butt, then licks your face, officially claiming you for his own.
