Pretty sure Posluszny has already been penciled in at MLB in Buffalo. That's what all the signs are pointing to at least. Buffalo traded up to the top of the second to take this guy, so they plan on using him. Personally, I think Buffalo got a steal. Poz was the #2 LB in the draft IMO, and he ended up off the board as #4. Also, I'm pretty sure it's already been said that Crowell is going to replace Spikes at the SLB this season. Crowell he could still be a factor, he's definitely good enough.
I dont think Donnie Edwards gets replaced. Obviously someone starts instead, but it takes a special kind of player to consistently rack up 100+ tackles in a 3-4.
Agreed. Both guys on the inside are new (the other guy next to Edwards was released, forgot his name), and it's anybodys guess who is going to be the more productive of the two. Personally, I would much rather take the guess work out of things and just go for MLBs if I had the chance, but at the price you pay for one of these two, it might be worth it. SD is a somewhat unusual situation IMO, and the ILBs may be more free to roam and rack up some nice stats. Castillo is a freaking beast, and we all know about Merriman demanding constant attention...
Adalius Thomas might get replaced by Dan Cody. That situation is more guesswork than anything right now, but I think Cody has the most talent, thus best chance.
I've heard they are looking at Jarrett Johnson to replace Thomas. Not really that much chance of an unknown guy coming and and grabbing 10+ sacks from the SLB position IMO. But then again, this is Baltimore we're talking about. Stranger things have happened. Johnson should be on your radar.
