Assuming he's physically capable of playing, he represents a substantial upgrade over Michael Bennett if LJ's holdout continues into the season, or if LJ is traded.
I don't know that I'd call a 33 Year Old Back who hasn't played in 2 years a "substantial" upgrade over Bennett.
If he can do anything other than run fast in a straight line, he's a signifcant upgrade over Bennett.

add to that priest could actually make it out of the huddle without pulling a hammy.
I would think that Priest wouldn't even attempt a return if theres more risk of getting seriously injured than any other player out there, I'm just guessing this is the case, because a player in a similar situation said the same thing...David Pollack of the Bengals.
And word is Kolby Smith over Bennett will be the primary back if Johnson (and Priest for that matter) aren't in the line-up, so I would say that Priest Holmes is no doubt an improvement over Kolby Smith.
Nice bluff by the Chiefs to try and get Lj to sign.
Priest will not play again. He'll show up for camp - light practice - might go through the motions ..etc..etc...Lj will sign. Priest will then announce his retirement.
If anyone would like to see this, it's me. I'm a HUGE fan. I have about 10 of Holmes' rookie cards - several that are graded 10 and autographed so I'd love to see a nice comeback
So people here don't figure Priest will play, or if he does play he'll be a 3rd stringer at best and not have much value (I concur). So if people here aren't fooled - why do you think LJ will be fooled and be scared into signing??? Ya really think you're that much more prescient than LJ - jeez, give the guy a little credit!!!

I dont know if this has been asked, but when will Yahoo add him to the FAs? I'd like to handcuff him...I dont really need my kicker until the season starts.

I heard on a Sports Talk Radio Station this has something to do with collecting on an insurance policy from Lloyds of London & is merely a requirement for him to get the money. It was the DJ saying it, not a lunatic caller, but I didn't quite grasp the entire breath of the conversation. Has anyone else heard about anything along these lines?
