I'm just wondering what Chicago and especially Baltimore are doing up there.

And Jax at #10. I swear they have the most underrated group of 5 guys I've ever seen. It's no coincidence that both their starting RBs last year had 5+ypc (including Taylor who had never done it in his 9 year career) despite no real threat at QB or WR.

As much as I love my Steelers....I think #8 is too high for them considering how poorly they performed last season. They could end up that high but after losing Hartings to retirement, I would be hard pressed to put them in the top 10 right now.

Other thoughts:

I echo FB that Baltimore is certainly too high, they have a solid O-Line but #7? No way. I also agree that Jacksonville should be moved up and I think Minnesota is much too low at #16 as well.

I've done a complied O-line ranking the last two years and there are quite a bit of variance between the rankings. Most of this is because every site had a different way of "scoring"; some relied heavily on sacks, some on rushing yardage, some on YPC, etc. All of them were weighted differently.

I suspect if you take a look at the team stats you could find the correlation between one of the aforementioned stats and these rankings. Once we get a few more O-line rankings I'll put up another compiled set, but it's going to be a couple more weeks for all of them to publish.

The place where I get my o-line rankings have Jax at #6....so I don't think CBS rankings are the best but they will help many.

The reason why the Jets are ranked low on most rankings is that.... a. there are still two young players on the 0-line, b. with the expected loss of Kendall it puts Clarke as the backup, which is not an upgrade at any means and that it also could mess up the chemistry of the line, c. in 2006 the Jets ranked 30th per carry...not that great, d. there are no pro-bowlers on that squad as well, which hurts the rankings. So yes, they are where they are suppose to be.
