NFL.com Free Leagues

Postby Hubarooski » Wed Aug 01, 2007 12:00 pm

What are yall's thoughts on NFL.com free fantasy football leagues. How customizable is it for the commish, what are some of its pluses and minuses.

Personally I like AOL for a free site, but some of the other guys in the league want more of a visual appealing look similar to the advantages of CBS sportsline.

I did a NFL league once and I didn't like it...it was weird that teams were in divisions? ....and it wasnt as clean and simple as some of the others (yahoo).

I like NFL.com's scoring system that updates itself in real time so I can keep track of how my team's doing whereas in the free Yahoo! leagues you have to wait for the next day for the scores to come up.

Nfl.com or sportsline have a much nicer interface, higher grade opponents, and accurate live scoring. While with Yahoo one can customize their league, yet I find, for a free fun league with your friends you really don't need all that customization.

Besides, yahoo looks like it was last updated 10 years ago... Ok... now flame away ;-D

Divisions are the only way to fly in a 12-Teamer.

As to nfl.com, I like its' interface better than AOL's, but unless you pay for it the scoring and roster requirements aren't customizable at all. I usually play one or two leagues on nfl.com for S&G, but so far as free providers go AOL is about as good as it gets.
