I guess it's funny if you don't understand all the engineering and stuff that actually goes into setting up a race car. Adjusting the track bar, wedge, air pressure, camber, suspension, etc. Those crew chiefs could run circles (pun) around 90% of the Cafe in the math and science department.

But if people want to believe Ricky Bobby is an apt representation of Nascar, then I guess we'll just have to let 'em.

Sadly, the same cannot be said of all the fans...

We usually have one here at the cafe. Check the Fantasy Racing forum. It's not all that active though. I'll set up a league whenever Yahoo gets their game up.

Of course, unlike many of my southern peers, my fanhood is due to the strategies and mathematics that are involved in the sport. Though, I do enjoy seeing a catastrophic wreck every now and then.
