sorry, not good with quotes etc... but for the post (2nd maybe) that had LJ as #7 ....
You serious Clark???? He's SOLID #3 holdout or not. If I KNEW right now, that he'd miss the first game of the season, and I had the #3 pick, I'd STILL take him.
1. LaDanian Tomlinson - Can't not pick him at #1. 2. Steven Jackson - Can't not pick him at #2. 3. Larry Johnson - Holdout worries but also trade possibilities. Monster talent. 'Cuff Bennett. 4. Frank Gore - Huge injury risk, but if he somehow stays healthy he will put up huge #s. 5. Joseph Addai - Lost Tarik Glenn, but Indy system produces great # for feature RBs. 6. Shaun Alexander - Foot doesnt bother me, I see him as a very safe pick. 7. Willie Parker - Knee issues, inconsistent, but offense may open up holes this year. 8. Brian Westbrook - Huge injury risk, huge McNabb risk, but explosive in Philly 9. Travis Henry - Not quite convinced of the talent, dont trust Shanny, but Den. RBs can shine. 10. Rudi Johnson - Reliable, but may be on the downturn and reduced value in PPR. 11. Laurence Maroney - Durability issues a big ? in NE. Can he handle a big load? 12. Reggie Bush - Running style and splitting carries makes him risky, valuable in PPR. 13. Ronnie Brown - Solid, low ceiling but a high floor. Limited upside and risk. 14. Willis McGahee - He's got talent, but will the declining Bal. O-line allow him to show it? 15. Cedric Benson - Durability unproven, Chicago system could make him great if healthy.
4-6 are really just 4a, 4b, and 4c. I would hate to have pick 4 this year because I rank all 3 of these RBs almost exactly the same.
I based these on our league setting of .5 PPR
Hopefully I didn't forget anybody?
*Edit: forgot Clinton Portis. I would put him at #15 in place of Benson because of durability concerns and Betts concerns.

I like this thread. 2 things I noticed: Theres a lot of love for Reggie Bush while MJ Drew has non. Im sure that Deuce is better then "fragile Fred", so MJD should be just as involved as he was last year or even more, and in leagues like mine his return yards and return TDs? are huge assets.

So U can see the future. U see dead people too? U know its not really smart to state something like that. BTW I have LJ at 6 but probably I wont draft him, cause if he decides to hold out then my season is over, before it started. Lets hope that he will play, and wont screw up KC fan's and fantasy owner's season.

You really think there is a chance he won't play? Worst case scenario, and i mean worst, is they don't get a deal done in KC and they trade him somewhere else. They are not going to let their only offensive weapon sit on the bench the entire year... you're out of your mind if you think he will...
Who said an entire year? Thats not an option. You should know that.
And I think that you are out of your mind Mr I know everything better, if you wont consider his holdout as a possibility. Even if its 1 percent chance, that he'll hold out. You cant say for sure until he sais so. Period. End of debate.

He said Larry Johnson will play, and you said it's not smart to state something like that, that to me makes it sound like you are saying he won't play, like at all.
You honestly think the Chiefs are going to start the season without Larry Johnson???
I'll take a stab at this. This is my top 48. Just thought I would trow a wrench into this debate over the top 15. Even at 15 my ratings look quite different than most. Criticize / Critique / Laugh at my rankings as you might. Just how I feel things shaking out by season's end.

So what dude? Everybody knows that. Doesnt change anything. Explane why U say 100% that he will not hold out. I dont think U can do that. Noone can. Nothing is certain until it happens. Period.

Marquee or not, where is the incentive. They are sending a horrible message to give in to him. LJ has little ground to stand on and KC knows it. He is getting fined out the wazoooooooooooooo and is only hurting himself. Why should KC crumble? They have NO offense this year, even w/ LJ. They have little hope of any contention, so why should they pay him more? Defenses are going to stack on him like crazy this year, and the Chiefs O-line is falling apart. His value is dimenishing even if he does come back. They don't need LJ, they can have a horrible season w/ out him.
