And I think that you are out of your mind Mr I know everything better, if you wont consider his holdout as a possibility.
Even if its 1 percent chance, that he'll hold out.
You cant say for sure until he sais so.
Period.
End of debate.

He said Larry Johnson will play, and you said it's not smart to state something like that, that to me makes it sound like you are saying he won't play, like at all.

You honestly think the Chiefs are going to start the season without Larry Johnson??? :-?

The hole thing started that LJ wasnt in the top 15. So its not that he wont play the whole season. But if he'll will miss time he will drop out of the 15.
And the guy said "he will play".
So he wont miss any time.
Cause when he misses time, his not playing. I think thats obvious.

I honestly think that I dont know for sure.
So look into his situation.
What would he lose with a holdout?
Not much.
He has nothing left to prove on the field. Everybody knows what he can do.
He is not earning that much money, so holding out wont hurt him financially that much either. And his next contract will be huge.
As I see it the main issue here is that he wants respect, and rightfully so.
In the Pro world money is respect. And what he earnes compared to other top RBs is outrageous.
I useally dont like millionairs to screw things for a little more money, but this is not just about money.
LJ has a point there, and this is the only way he can force the issue.
On the other side, if Im KC why would I pay more. We got a contract with the guy.
And they know that their chances for the playoffs even with LJ are not good.

Thats why I say, I dont know for sure.

actually financially he will lose a great deal. im not sure this specific situation, but they usually get fined up to like 20,000 per day they miss. if he misses every day of the season, he would lose a ton.

ps. what is the deal with calling westbrook westy?!?!? his nickname is b-west not westy. jeeze!

People seem to forget that LJ has a contract for this season that pays him like $1.9 million. THAT'S why most people think he'll be on the field for game 1. He's fined for each day of camp he misses, but if he holds out to the point where he starts missing games...he won't be getting paid.

He makes $1.7 million this year.

He will lose money if he is not on the field, but that not much if he can get a contract or get traded to a team willing to pay him the $8-9 million per season.
So even if loses money now, he could get a lot more later.

Just ask Ashlie Lelie who did hold out last year in Denver. He didnt care about losing money each day, despite that he wasnt expecting to sign a huge contract that LJ will.

U know its not really smart to state something like that.
BTW I have LJ at 6 but probably I wont draft him, cause if he decides to hold out then my season is over, before it started.
Lets hope that he will play, and wont screw up KC fan's and fantasy owner's season.[/quote]

I have LJ at 6 as well. The holdout risk is there and it seems crazy to not draft him, but as of the first pre season games the outlook is not so good. I would rather rely on a guy that I know for sure will be playing. I would take FWP there instead!

"Westy" is a realy bad nickname. I think I like B-West better. I vote for B-West from now on.

I will call him Westy because that's what I like. If Westy drops by my house and asks me to call him B-West, I'll take it under consideration. Until then, it's Westy. :-b
