Excellent read, with some excellent points. I especially like the way you tied several quotes from "Rounders" into fantasy football, and they make total sense. Very well done Warpigs ;-D

I thought, for a second, you were going to touch upon one of my more favorite "tactics" regarding trading with another owner. Every time I select a player I listen for which owners groan or get upset with my pick. I write their name down on a sheet of paper as I suspect they were interested in that player. Later on in the season if they are breaking out (and have too high of value because of it) I contact them to see if I can sell high and possibly get someone who's value is too low.

It's worked many times in both football and baseball very well, especially when that player is in the mid to late rounds because that's the "sleeper" rounds and that guy is going to be sore about not grabbing that guy a round earlier.

Try it. It works.

Great article, and Rounders is a great movie too. All your points were very true, and it was a very good starting article. ;-D

Good read, WP. ;-D

And biju, I will defnitely be using your strategy in my league this year. I had to draft over the phone last year, and even though I heard a lot of groans when I made some picks, I couldn't tell who it was.
