Very tough call. You have a few options there. It will really depend on who is available at your picks. You can go:
WR-RB
RB-RB
RB-WR

Again depending on who is available, I would probably go with a RB/WR combo even though I am big on drafting RBs early.

good question. i picked at #11 in a 14 teamer and didn't go rb rb. this is what my team looks like. it's not terrible, but the running back selection is really thin if you pass on a 2nd rb, like i did, until round 4. as you can see i had to grab some on really questionable, mediocre backs. but i like my receiving corps.

I think I like the Idea of taking the best RB and then a top WR. We do play 2 RB and 3 WR each week so I think this might be the way to go. Thank you for your help.

I play in a competitive 14 team league and the big trick is always the BYE weeks. Obviously not all teams can have a real 3rd RB (actually, it's tough with just two as there are so many RBBC these days) so getting a second RB has always been a priority in that league.

Regardless of that however, you can't pass up an opportunity on a top tier WR. As you can see, you can still grab up RBs that should be starting even into the 6th round so don't be too shy about pulling the gun on a high-end WR.

If you had a mid-second round pick I'd even say grab Manning if he's still there. It might be a good value even with the #16 overall pick depending on your scoring.

No. Steve Smith was drafted @ 1.13.

I think you almost HAVE to go RB - RB in a 14 team league. There just isn't much left when you pick again in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Unlike an 8, 10, or even 12 team league; you won't be able to get many serviceable RBs later in the draft. WRs and QBs, you can wait and still get good to decent guys. RBs, not so much.
