Portis value question

In terms of drafting right now, you should be more cautious with Portis.

But if he comes back and looks good in the rest of the pre-season games, I would look at him as a 2nd round pick ahead of all 4 of those backs.

Portis abhors the preseason. I would not be surprised if the guy hardly plays in any preseason games the rest of his life.

Before the injury last season I had him as number 4 on my cheat sheet. I don't see how that's dropping

Exactly, IMO people are making too big a deal out of a broken hand one season, that is the only injury that caused him to miss any regular season time.

He also does have tendonitis in his knee which is requiring him to see Dr. James Andrews of all people. I think the tendonitis tripled with the hand and shoulder injury last season, and the fact that Ladell Betts is a more-than-capable backup RB are causing Portis' value to slip.
