Reggie Bush? Really??

Seems to me that Bush is getting a lot of hype coming into the year, especially in ppr leagues. Yeah, he did catch almost 90 balls last year and i expect him to put up similar recieving numbers but do you really feel confident having your No.1 RB rush for 600 yards last year? Are people expecting a signficant uptick in rushing attempts? I don't see why NO would faze out a very effective runner like Duece. Am i missing something?

I don't get it either. He could set the world on fire if Deuce were to get hurt, but I'm not risking a early pick that happening.

I do not have the stats, but Reggie was significantly more effective as a runner in the second half of 2006 than the first half. I see him getting 800 - 950 rushing yards this year which is a significant improvement considering he should post similar receiving numbers as last year.

Actually assuming 1 PPR is the average, Bush would have scored less under that system.

Now, the 2nd set of numbers are pumped up by two very long catches, but you just can't take those away. Regardless, his rushing numbers look great in the second half and are probably the reason for the optimism.

Thanks for finding that. I knew I was not making it up.

Eight TDs in his final eight regular season games ... look at his YPC, it nearly doubled in the second half of the season and is very respectable ... and he scored a touchdown in each playoff game last year, so 10 TDs in his last 10 games. Not too bad.

He learned the system, what speed the NFL has and is in his second year.

He started last season with a sore ankle for the first few games of the season.

PPR he should finish top 12 in points this year. The real test will be how he does once Duece is gone

I like Bush's upside this year also but is it worth it to take him over Maroney in the First round in a PPR league?
