Well I just got my draft position for my big money league and unfortunately I am picking #3 overall. Yuk.

I know my choices are between LJ and Gore, but I really don't love either of them there. WHat you guys think...who is your #3

With that said, I'd take Addai. He's in the best O in the league and has Peyton to check down to him. Think 03-04' Edge numbers. Good luck!

It's the reason you brought up this thread in the first place, because you were thinking about shaun at 3. And you should go with it. If you don't pick shaun here you'll be kicking yourself when he has a big year. Otherwise you should try and trade the pick. Gore is the safe pick, but I don't like him at no. 3 and I definitely don't like Joe Addai there.

Another vote for Addai here....I was a proud Gore owner last year, but my gut just won't let me use a #3 pick on him this year, and LJ has too many issues as discussed in the other threads. SA is a close #4 on my list....

I'd still take LJ. Gore was great for me last year and is on my favorite team but #3 is too early.

Go with your gut. If I'm reading correctly into what skibrett is saying, you want to take SA but feel like it's a reach. If you think he's the 3rd best guy, take him. None of the guys you will consider at the third pick will fall to your second rounder, so don't worry about value. It doesn't matter what others think, just what you think.

I would go with either Addai or Alexander. LJ may be a disappointment this year with cumination of O-line problems, holding out, being overworked last year. He is due for a huge fall.

I wouldn't really feel comfortable with Gore or LJ at 1.03, either. Like ski said, try to trade down with someone who loves Gore or doesn't know about LJ's issues, and if you can't just take who you think is going to be the best RB. If it's SA, you will catch some flack from the peanut gallery, but who cares what they think? They're dumb!

That said, that's what I'd do. FF is about having fun and it's more fun when you're playing your favorite players. i won my main league in '05 and having SA made it all the better.

On a practical note, SA could be back to all-pro status on a team that knows their window to the Superbowl is closing quickly. They've had a year to recover from the Hutch loss, have great offensive weapons, and a decent D.

Gore = broken hand and unlikely to repeat '06 numbers.
LJ = lots and lots of issues.
Addai = the offence is Manning Manning Harrison Wayne... period.
Westy = well, you don't want him over Shaun.

But. If you don't take SA, I'd roll with LJ. And maybe, just maybe; #2 takes LJ and then SJ is the obvious choice.

man i am praying that i don't get the #3 pick in any of my drafts this season. i'd be leaning towards addai at this point, though. i'm having real trouble with my 3-7 RB (LJ, gore, addai, parker, and alexander) actually holding position
